What is an EICR?

So is an EICR the same as an EIC (Electrical Installation Certificate) and does it cover PAT testing (Portable Appliance Testing) I hear you ask… The short answer is NO.

An EIC is provided to confirm that any new electrical installation such as a rewire or new fuse box complies with regulations and neither include PAT testing.
